Elyse had many tools in her kitchen she seldom used anymore. She loved to dine around town at the swank new restaurants instead. It wasn't difficult, when it came time purge things from the cupboards, the old sifter had little purpose and landed in the sale box. Then her friend with avant-garde taste came over and admired the embossed lettering and the modern graphics on her discarded piece. Since then it sits on Elyse's kitchen counter filled with blooming orchids. She even painted a wall red and keeps her checkered apron hanging just for fun.
